Solving Pain Points: Getting from Customer Requirements to Module Selection
Helping clients help their customers starts by getting clients to put themselves in their customers' shoes and understand their pain points. What are some practical ways that developers can help their clients understand these key concepts enough to provide useful requirements that developers can then translate into features? This session will show some of the tools we use to help our clients think in terms of user-centered design. Tools discussed will include user profiles, use cases, data models, and module selection/design. We'll also cover how to use the discovery information to transition to the next tool. This session is geared toward introducing these tools to developers and designers, since the entire team needs to be involved in the process, so the session is appropriate for all.
