Content Strategy & Drupal: A Match Made in (Taxonomy) Heaven

Speaker(s):

What does content strategy mean for the Drupal community? Working with a content strategist can help make the development process smoother and prevent last-minute surprises and frustrations. (“Why aren’t the news stories displaying on the homepage?” “What news stories?” "Who's writing the news stories?")

Using examples including content types, taxonomies, metadata, microcopy, and governance, we’ll talk about how multidisciplinary web project teams can learn one another’s languages and collaborate to build better Drupal websites. The presentation will address key intersection points between technology and strategy—UX, IA, and content—where collaboration is most important.

This session is intended to bring together Drupalistas and the people they work with, including clients, project managers, content contributors, site administrators, and non-technical project team members.

The presentation will build on the ideas first presented at CapitalCamp, the DrupalCamp for Washington, DC, in July 2011. http://rockcreeksm.com/blog/cooking_with_content_strategy_where_drupal_m...
