Building Content Repositories with Drupal

Speaker(s):

The web is no longer the only place your content lives. It’s just one part of a larger delivery puzzle, and this means your content needs to be able to be syndicated to a wide range of devices, and needs to be able to adapt to devices that haven’t even been invented yet.

The first part of this talk will consist of an exploration of the methods that we’ve used to build sustainable content within Drupal 6 and 7. We’ve run into a lot of problems over the years, and we’re eager to talk about how we’ve solved problems Issues of delivery, transformation, and integration with a wide range of clients such as Martha Stewart, Rodale, Time and College Board.

The second part of this talk will focus on how to make Drupal a true content store and syndicated content out to a wide range of destinations such as iOS and Android devices, legacy content platforms,and via methods such as JSON, RSS and custom XML feeds. Drupal is entering a new era with D7 and D8 and it’s important to build current platforms for future growth.
