One of the biggest advantages of Drupal is the number of contributed modules that are available to use. Contributed modules can offer a large benefit but often come with many extra features that go unused when implemented to fulfill a site-specific business requirement. In this session, we will discuss and build custom modules that fill in the small site-specific gaps that some contributed modules tend to leave. We will also discuss real-world recurring scenarios where lightweight "glue code" is often a more manageable solution than contributed modules.
